Google Doodle BS

Google’s Doodle for Election Day 2016 is strange.

Why is there a button that looks like a North Korean flag with Chinese writing on it?

A Political Rick-Roll

Top CNN employees are frustrated. They breathlessly went live to Donald Trump’s news conference at his new hotel in Washington D.C., only to wait helplessly as veterans stood up to explain why they support Trump as commander-in-chief.

“It’s hard to imagine this as anything other than a political rick-roll,” anchor Jake Tapper said wryly as CNN cut away from the broadcast of the Trump event and asked him to comment.

I heard some of the comments from the CNN commentators and these jackasses are *livid*.
Wonderful, I say. Wonderful.

“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

TRANSLATION: She’s guilty but we won’t prosecute.

“To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences.”

TRANSLATION: If you did this, you would be in prison.

Why Trump?

Because over time our entire political system has become a complete joke. It’s completely based on money. And these are just the popular mantras, but after 30 something years on this planet, I’ve decided they’re true, but for specific reasons.
No one involved in the White House or on the Hill has an actual “job” like they used to when the country was founded. Being a Senator or a Rep used to be be something else you did, not the only thing you did. You didn’t get paid a livable salary to come to DC, and you didn’t spend all year (minus vacations) in the city, you were at home, in your home state, doing your job. You ran a store, you were a farmer, a doctor, a butcher or some shit. Entire lifetimes are spent in office…why? How is that reality? Every single one of them is a millionaire…how does that represent anyone? How can they possibly relate to a huge swath of the country? The districts at a state/local level are absolute dogshit, carved up literally block by block in some arbitrary fashion that negates the effectiveness of being represented in the first place. And the term “middle class” is completely meaningless. There is no definitive line that says ‘above this, you are middle class, but above this, you are rich’. It’s an impossible to define completely meaningless term that does nothing but make everyone feel like a unique and special snowflake…the “average american citizen” snowflake. 40% of our income, out of the gate, goes directly to the Government. In addition to all the consumption taxes we pay (sales tax, property tax, gas tax, estate tax, capital gains tax, and on, and on, and on), and yet these idiots aren’t even marginally close to HALF of a balanced budget.
They trundle out on tv, radio, in the paper, and talk about taxes, about nonsensical political moving and shaking, about topics that seem to “matter” but realistically make zero difference. Major headlines are made for bills about personal rights, privacy, and a slew of other things, and then completely negated by riders on other bills under the radar, piece by piece, until the people that paid for the influence get what they originally wanted anyways. The entire voting populace, which is what, a third of the eligible voters that are alive and mentally coherent at any given November, are given the illusion of having a say, when it doesn’t matter. They call, they put Facebook posts up, they put signs and banners on, send stupid emails, write letters…’we’re making a difference!’. No, you’re not. You’re killing time, like knitting, but more social, and you don’t have something to show for it later.
It’s a COMPLETE joke. An absolute circus. Our country exists still solely by accident, and by the forward motion created in WWII by becoming one of the largest economies and military powers in the world. And with each generation, we become more entitled, less creative, less hard working, and more egocentric than the generation before. It’s a fucking shit show, and these asshats get on TV and talk about jobs, the economy, and the ‘good ol American dream’.
So I love Trump. I fucking love him. I wish he was actually going to run all the way to the White House instead of just fart around until the primaries like he usually does. I wish he’d take shots and get on TV and give press conferences drunk off his ass. I wish he’d tell reporters to go fuck themselves. I wish he’d treat International diplomacy like it was an episode of what’s his show where he got to say “You’re Fired”. I LOVE that he pisses off all the politicians on both sides, because he’s different than the good old boys (and gals) that come up year after year after year. How can he possibly be worse than what politician after politician after politician does in office? What’s he going to do, piss off an ally by spying on them? Inflame enemies by attacking their countries with remote controlled planes? Spend more money than we have? Pass laws for things with good intentions, like healthcare for people who don’t have it, without considering some of the gigantic gaping holes in getting it out there…like a working website to sign up for it in the first place? Sit on his ass and do nothing while OPM has the biggest leak of clandestine and TS information in the history of mankind? Bail out gigantic banks instead of busting them up after they fucked around and lost billions of dollars and screwed over half of the globe? Have the most non-secretive affair ever? Then lie about it and spend a million man hours talking about who he did or did not fuck instead of governing? Cause gas lines and shortages, fail to rescue hostages from a shithole by piss poor planning? Invade a country and blow it to shit without figuring out how to get back out of said country, after we just did the same thing 40 years prior?
Seriously…how the fuck could Trump be WORSE than the parade of human turds in suits that march into the Capitol and White House every day, every year? He can’t. He can’t possibly. But the sheer fact that he’s universally hated by every one of those lying out of touch idiots makes me want to vote for him as King let alone President. Go Trump.
EDIT: Jesus. Glad it got everyone talking. I posted actual ideas in another comment, but I still stand by the big T, not because he’s any ‘better’ than the system in place, but because he breaks all the unspoken rules that are clearly flawed in the system. Moving to the DC area, it became abundantly clear quite quickly that our Govt is bananas; their day to day in no way reflects normal humans outside this city. No, I’d be an awful President. But the fact that these jabronies get on TV every year and pretend like they’re not crazy needs to stop. Send the Don to the White House, maybe they’ll figure out what we really think about them.

That’s why.

If the shoe fits…

Women don’t belong in the military, courtesy of Mad Magazine (to the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic):

Mine eyes have seen the glory of an army that’s co-ed
of a navy where the captain has to subdivide the head
of an air force where they issue flowered sheets for every bed
The times are changing now

Glory, glory basic training
never was more entertaining
there’s more action, who’s complaining?
The times are changing now.

They are wearing battle outfits that are full of fancy frills
they’re a credit to the union and we call ’em G.I. Jills
if George Patton were alive today he’d take off for the hills
The times are changing now

Glory, glory foes they’ll shake up
armed attacks they’re sure to break up
then they’ll freshen up their make up
The times are changing now

They are trained to shoot a rifle and they show no signs of fright
they’re as strong as any man and never run from any fight
that’s unless one gets a headache and she tells you, “not tonight”
The times are changing now

Glory, glory tell her mister
if she struggles when you’ve kissed her
no one likes a draft resister
the times are changing now.

It seems to fit with today’s news.

Human IRQs

From Hertiste via Vox, here is some useful information about attention-whores.

If a woman asks you a question, then can’t even manage to listen to any answer in more depth than “yes” or “no”, you probably don’t want to take the risk of involving yourself with her. I, personally, don’t waste my time on attention whores, as there are few things on the planet less interesting than human black holes.

I’d call them human IRQs, except IRQs are useful in the computer world.

I’ve learned about this quite recently: Within the past year, I met a woman that would look me in the eyes, listen to me, and wouldn’t interrupt me when I was speaking. It was quite an eye opener. The respect shown to me was incredible. I’ve now compared that to the status quo of my interactions with women (including my cousins and family members) that consists mostly of constant interruption and my conclusion is I am becoming intolerant of people that refuse to let anyone finish a sentence. I no longer feel that conversations have to be a battles of wills; a test of who can get their opinions out as quickly and as loud as possible before the other person speaks. Of course, reminding women that polite company doesn’t interrupt when the other person is speaking will only get you the cliched claim that they aren’t being rude, they’re boisterous, strong-willed, and passionate. Sorry sweetheart, you’re rude, loud, and obnoxious, and you’re definitely not worth my time when others have proven to be much more deserving.

Voting in 2014

Vox has a good point: nothing will really change.

In any event, as millions of voters exercise their privilege across the USA today, it is very, very unlikely that the replacement of a Democratic majority in the Senate with a Republican one, and the strengthening of the Republican majority in the House is going to signify much in the grand scheme of things. The federal government will continue its deficit spending, the banks will continue to loan out credit money they create ex nihilo, Wall Street will continue to dictate policy to Washington, the U.S. military will continue to intervene in the affairs of sovereign nations around the world, and the flow of diverse and semicivilized immigrants will continue unabated.

I used to walk in lockstep with the GOP. Now I just see them as pathetic Democrat-lite politicians. The GOP doesn’t want to win, and they don’t want to support conservative policies and into place. They drank the kool-aid of the -isms: feminism, diversity(ism), egalitarianism, and multiculturalism. The -isms will be and are the death of the USSA. The GOP will bring the same death as the Democrats, just at a bit slower pace.

Me and a buddy of mine were out having a burger this evening when he told me about his latest date. Setup via he took a divorced mother to an expensive restaurant of her choice, they later skipped over to a semi-upscale grocery store to pick up desert from the bakery with her employee discount. She interrogated my buddy all night about his employment and family plans. Then proceeded to talk about her ex for a substantial amount of the time. Luckily, my friend was adept at exiting from the situation and when she assumed there was to be a second date and asked when it would be, he replied “I’ll text you tomorrow,” and then he converted a goodnight kiss into a side-hug.

I don’t often go on dates. It’s not my thing, but I’ve been told many stories of scenarios similar to this and I must ask: What is wrong with women today? Don’t they know how to date at all? Do they not know that there is more to a date than themselves and their little bubbles?

It’s obvious that this woman had no intention of actually experiencing the good company of my friend. Her entire attitude is centered around her value. She believes that she is worth a great deal and inherently worthy of my friends time. She believes that just her presence was enough to warrant my friend paying for an expensive meal. At the same time she demonstrates his worth wasn’t enough to pay full price for grocery store baked goods. Like this woman, a lot of women today are pathetic narcissists. They don’t see any inherent value in a man. They don’t believe he is anything more than a way for her to get off, sexually or financially. This is the female imperative to the power of ten. Even something as personal and intimate as a date in order to get to know someone is reduced down to what can she get out of it.

In light of the story I was told earlier this evening, I am re-blogging an article written a couple years ago by The Private Man. His site is dedicated to dating divorcees, but perhaps this would have helped the women my buddy went out with….. Yeah, it probably wouldn’t have helped at all.

A Dating Exercise For Women (Re-post)

A fair number of women read my blog and for this, I am pleased. Normally, I write my posts with a male audience in mind. This post is an exception. I want women to read this very carefully and pass it along to their single friends. It’s important.

The biggest challenge is for women to re-adjust their approach to men. Women usually look for reasons to reject a man. They find the bad things first. This results in a lot of frustrated single women. To start the readjustment, I have this very simple mental exercise:

Every time you see and/or interact with a man, look for something good about him. This includes online dating profiles.

It can be something small.

It can be something big.

It has to be something.

Perhaps you see a sweaty landscaper with stained clothes working hard at his job. What’s good about him? He’s working hard. That’s a very good thing.

Maybe you have a male colleague who is not the most attractive of physical specimens. But you notice that he has a very nice voice and speaks very thoughtfully. Those are two good things.

You meet a man socially who has a very weak chin and terrible fashion sense. Yet you see that he has beautiful eyes, broad shoulders, and a great sense of humor. Wow, three good things!

You see an online dating profile with bad photos. The words, however, are well put together and are quite appealing. Good things, indeed.

This doesn’t mean changing your standards regarding the men you date. It only means noticing the positive elements in men. That’s the exercise. Simple, no?

Do this for a week. After the week passes, ask yourself this question: “Where are all the good men?”

Guess what, you just spent a week seeing them with your own eyes.

Feel free to copy and paste this into emails, blogs, forums, whatever.

#GamerGate Entertainment

There have been some great articles on #gamergate lately but one of the best must be the Gawker meltdown by Max Read. VoxDay comments on it here, and it’s hilarious. The next day, Vox pens an open letter to head of Gawker asking for Read’s resignation. And why not? Nearly every week I’m reading about the left and some SJW demanding another resignation over some imaginary offense. Let’s hit them back. What’s the worst that could happen? Gawker fires him, does an about face on GamerGate, repents of their ways, and maybe becomes a news site championing journalistic ethics and stuff we care about. Or maybe they keep Read around, he continues to stick his foot in his mouth, Gawker looses money, and I get more entertainment value out of this than Netflix as I watch Gawker slide into irrelevance.

There’s no downside!

The Fall of the NFL

The NFL is going in the wrong direction. Here are some headlines on the Drudge Report today:

Football Headlines on the DrudgeReport

Einstein is often attributed to stating that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. This would be one of those times. The NFL is hellbent on turning the entire league pink, thinking that will bring in more fans, and they double down when those practices aren’t successful. One of the problems of the NFL is thinking that women can lead the game. Football is a man’s game. It is played by men. The strategies are refined by men. The game is nuanced by men. It is a violent game because men like it that way, and the NFL is killing it.

The constant stream of women being pushed into the leadership of any organization is wrong. This will fundamentally alter football and drive away fans. At first, it will be the casual and fair-weather fans like me. I don’t follow football too much. I care if the Vikings win or lose, but then I also don’t give a flying rat’s ass if they leave because Minnesota doesn’t build a rich man a stadium. I could take-em or leave-em. But soon the more die-hard fans will start to dwindle. Instead of just one month of the players wearing the most effeminate color imaginable for a mostly female disease, we’ll add another. Perhaps it will be robin’s egg blue, the second most effeminate color in all of Creation. That will surely bring the fans back, right? After that doesn’t work, the NFL will add more personal reels in between the plays. The league will take a cue from the Olympics and instead of giving the fans more action and football, they’ll get more childhood stories. The fans will learn the hopes and dreams of each player. Hint: Win Superbowl, be famous football player. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? I don’t know if any of the sports channels are currently doing that, but I’m sure they’ve toyed with the idea. (Then again, ESPN is probably too busy firing another commentator for doing his job: commentating.)

After the NFL drives away the last fan and ratings fall to nothing, maybe someone will realize what happened: By changing the NFL to accommodate the complaints of a few social justice warriors, the NFL will cease being a football organization and exist solely to cater to the whims of the complainers and social justice warriors.
